SPLEEN LIVE @ HOPE & ANCHOR

Spleen will play in London at the Hope & Anchor on December 6th, alongside with Yur Mum (headliners) and Quick Romance (opening band).
For all who don’t know, the list of bands that hit that stage includes Jam, The Ramones, Police, XTC, Cure, Joy Division, Pogues, Stranglers (who also recorded a live album at the Hope & Anchor).
As far as we can tell Spleen are the first italian band to play there!
This show is part of the Spleen’ first UK tour. On December 7th they will play at the Soho Vampires. Stay tuned for more dates to be added soon…

Produced by Ale Sportelli (Raw Power, Not Moving, Prozac +) this debut 3 track 7” EP ‘Dystopic School’ is a kick-ass, anthemic guitar-fuelled power punch with bags of swagger and attitude (Think QOTSA, Jimmy Eat World, Green Day). The EP is released in the UK on the 14th of June 2024, then in Italy and rest of the world on the 21st June. Digital release available on all platforms.

Antonio Aiazzi / Gianni Maroccolo – Mephisto Ballad

Il primo album congiunto di Antonio Aiazzi e Gianni Maroccolo, membri fondatori dei Litfiba. Partendo dalla memoria di un evento chiamato “Mephistofesta” (1982), trentanove anni dopo il duo rivisita “E.F.S. 44”, uno dei brani più oscuri e sperimentali del gruppo. Da lì sgorgano nuove composizioni e nasce “Mephisto Ballad”, un album in bilico tra minimalismo ed elettronica attraversato da brividi dark. Un omaggio al proprio passato che è però un disincantato sguardo verso il futuro.
